BOLERO 

Premiere on 9 November 2025, Vinohrady Theatre Prague

The program brings together four choreographies of contemporary dance theatre. The common theme of the evening is the human being – their character, inner world, relationships with others, and connection to the surrounding world. The musical accompaniment of two choreographies commemorates significant anniversaries of the world-renowned composers Georges Bizet and Maurice Ravel.

The evening also features the choreography Rozeznávám set to the music of Petr Hapka, with text by Michal Horáček, complemented by verses of Jaroslav Seifert, František Hrubín, and Vladimír Holan, recited by actor Vladimír Javorský – a unique fusion of dance, music, and poetry.

Educational Program for Schools

HOW DANCE THEATRE IS MADE 2025/2026

A signature educational and developmental performance of dance Theatre

The program is primarily designed for lower and upper primary school students as well as secondary schools (75 minutes without intermission). Through selected excerpts from both international and domestic repertoire, we aim to inspire the younger generation to engage actively with movement, dance, theatre, and culture. The Dance Centre Prague, Conservatory, has already presented hundreds of such performances in 78 cities across the Czech Republic and 9 cities abroad, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, the National Theatre in Prague, the City of Prague, and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The program's moderator introduces key areas of stage performance and dance techniques in a clear and structured way, including their history and development.

Each area of stage dance is presented through choreographic excerpts from the core repertoire of Balet Praha Junior.
