A full-length family production

HEAVEN ON EARTH

A new full-length, mixed-bill family production by the dance theatre ensemble Balet Praha Junior 2, created to the music of Czech composers on the occasion of the Year of Czech Music 2024. Audiences will see three one-act dance theatre pieces set to the music of three major Czech composers: Antonín Dvořák, Jaroslav Ježek, and Václav Trojan.

Educational Program for Schools

HOW A DANCER IS MADE

A signature educational and developmental performance of dance theatre.

The program is primarily designed for kindergartens and lower and upper primary school students (75 minutes without intermission). Through selected excerpts from international and domestic repertoire, we aim to inspire the younger generation toengage actively with movement, dance, theatre, and culture. The Dance Centre Prague, Conservatory, has already presented hundreds of such performances in 78 cities across the Czech Republic and 9 cities abroad, under the patronage of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, the National Theatre in Prague, the City of Prague, and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. The program's moderator introduces key areas of stage performance and dance techniques in a clear and structured way, including their history and development.

Classical Dance / Contemporary Dance / Jazz Dance / Folk Dance / Dance Sport

Each area of stage dance is presented through choreographic excerpts from the core repertoire of Balet Praha Junior 2.
